L Knee, Other

dec 8 - Sometime during running across frozen fields, my L knee got damaged. Beats me how. I only felt it afterwards. Inside front. Doesn't hurt when I press on it. Only walking. If I'm careful not to totally straighten it out, it's better. Might be hyperextension related.

This L knee is troublesome. I'm doing two risky things: squats on spin cycle and a2g squats. Don't intend to stop either for a while. OK. I'll add leg extensions to see if that helps.

Did d'lifts and squats last night. My knee improved as usual. I have a very bad feeling that thos darn stupid spin bike gym-bunny-like moves are the problem. This weekend I'll review my decision to continue spinning. I could always do stationary or even my own trainer. Probably better for me too.

Made my 2009 schedule. This knee issue has to be solved or at least one of my goals (50 mile) will not be happening. No spin for January. If that doesn't do it, I'll re-evaluate d'lift and squatting. Maybe my form.

Thomass race. My knee hurt from the beginning a little bit. But after about an hour it felt fine. No advil either.

I have to say it seems better. An odd twinge once in a while. Not when I'm running tho. and i did d'lift b.w. anyway.

Mostly no pain at all. Once in a while a little reminder. Ran fast. Lifted heavy. Looks good.

Ran an hour. No issues. Lifting heavy. No problems.

L knee front (I'd call it a ligament issue but I really don't know) painful today. Tough to figure this one out.

No issues with today's variety of exercises.

Can't run again. No deadlifts. No spinning. Maybe something i'm NOT doing...

Running slowly (5.3 mph) is fine

Conclusion I've drawn is that running too fast has been my downfall. Sometimes I feel great so I pick up the pace. No good. Will be running at this pace or so the rest of February. A half-marathon in a week will tell some of the tale.

Treadmill running at 5.3 feels fine. Sticking to it.

As long as I run slow(ish), I'm fine. OK. Done.

avoided any knee stress and gave it time. Wasn't spinning. wasn't squats. wasn't d'lift. might have been poor bike fit. might have been running too fast.
