Achilles Strain
In the last half mile of the run it slowly got worse. After sitting for a while it was very painful.

I tried to hit the recovery hard (heat, chiro, acu) before my trip to Denver but might have done too much of recovery and actually aggrevated it a bit. After the travel day was having mostly constant pain in my Achilles. Was too busy on the trip to rest it.

Once I had the chance to rest it (limited walking) after we got back it started healing pretty quickly. Was able to walk normal, then stairs, then jog. Visited an ortho just to make sure everything was good and he said he didn't see any signs of tearing and to just increase effort slowly. I took an extra week off after that.

Next time recover slowly from injuries (especially ones that immobilize parts of the body for long periods of time) even if I am staying fit in other ways.
