Head/Neck, Other

2018-06-15 – 2018-11-10

Grade: 1

Benign Positional Vertigo :( As usual, it just came on for no apparent reason. Seems like it's been a long time. Recording it here so I can track duration and frequency. It's been 5 years since I recorded an episode, but perhaps I missed one or two.

Calling it Sev 1 (called it 3 before) because although I cannot at all get into that position, I have almost completely avoided doing so.

Update July 1: Seemed like for the last few days it might be gone, so today I tried lying down on my back on a roller and slowly lowering my head onto the roller. At first, I was fine, and then after ten seconds or so it hit again. Bummer. Don't recall that ever happening before.

Update July 25: Tried lying down on the roller do my core exercises, using a pillow for my head. Neck was tense at first because I was worried about the onset of that terrible vertigo. By the fourth set on the roller, I was able to relax my neck almost fully. But then, in the middle of the 5th set, wham, vertigo - stopped immediately (as usual) when I lifted my head.

This lingered for a really long time, and mostly I just avoided the position. But at Kirby's a few days ago, I noticed I didn't get dizzy when she had me lean back to wash my hair, so I tried lying down on my foam roller a couple of days ago, it was fine.
