R Lower Leg, Impact wound / trauma

Lacerated right shin on platform pedal. 5" gash requiring 8 internal and 11 external stitches. Stitches can come out in 7-10 days. As injuries go, if I have to have one I'll happily settle for the kind that doesn't impact my race schedule. Now to see if that supplemental accident insurance will pay up!
10/28 Still dealing with resulting infection, which MAY finally be clearing up. I took my last dose of antibiotics yesterday, but I'm not going to feel like this is over until I can stop bandaging my leg.
11/1 Not entirely healed but not giving me any issues.
