R Lower Leg, Shin Splints

2015-09-01 – 2016-08-16

Grade: 1

Pain in shin started bothering me in early part of year but ignored it until summer. Always got better with rest but started again when started running. Physio reckons it is "medial tibial stress syndrome" or shin splints in other words, and is treating with acupuncture, massage and exercises to strengthen my feet and glutes and to get me running correctly...
UPDATE 17th Feb 2016 Still painful after some runs, not predictable. Painful only when bone is pressed. Will try different physio on Phil's recommendation to get second opinion.
UPDATE 8th May 2016 Less pain after running, some tenderness. Am trying to stretch more and foam roller more. Not been trying to tape up at all.

Time and stretching. Shins sometimes sore after running but not causing me as much concern as before...
