L Foot, Plantar Fasciitis

It's unclear if this is PF. I first experienced pain after the 2014 COC Middle in Whistler; it was on the outside edge of my heel. I don't recall anything acute happening, but the appearance of the pain was abrupt.
Over the next two weeks, it was painful to heel strike with my left foot, and there appeared to be a tightness on and in front of the heel.
