Cold has finally caught me, after lurking around the office for the last few days. Damn you air conditioning.
Have to be careful as planning big long run from Rowardennan to Tydrum to recce my section of the Highland Fling Relay on Sunday so want to be fit enough to cope with that.
Dosing up on Vit C and Beechams to ward off the symptoms but waking up this morning (Fri 14th) nose was running mad when I woke up... feeling groggy today.
Felt a bit better on Saturday, then felt clear of it in my head for run on Sunday at Loch Lomond, but back with me again Monday morning so not quite clear after all.
Tuesday wasn't too bad so thought it was clearing, but Wednesday brought new aches in legs and head, feeling dizzy at times so went home early. Off work today (Thursday) to try and recover.
General bleugh feeling has manifested itself as same stomach problems I suffered in October, cramps and similar. Back at work on the Friday for half day but head not really in it. Weekend was busy with family stuff so not much time to try and run but really not up to it yet. Taking an extended break. Might try and run now it’s Monday and I’m feeling a little chirpier again. (Chemical intervention helping a little at a time)
25-02 Home from work and stomach started to cramp up again, got really bad around dinner time but managed to eat. I can still fuel up I just feel awful afterwards. Seemed to be easing a bit by bedtime.
28-02 Think I may be over the worst of the stomach problems. Eating better and not suffering much from it so hopefully get out and run this weekend to try out my new XT4s
