R Lower Leg, Other

2013-09-10 – 2013-10-07

Grade: 3

First symptom felt like a pinched nerve - drive from NH to RI. Later in the day noticed that my right leg was swollen from the knee down, with numbness on the bottom of my foot. Iced and elevated that evening. Recurred on drive back N the following day to see the Dr.
Lymes test (negative), ankle and knee x-rays (minor arthritis - but wouldn't cause this), ultrasound of right leg (no blockages noted).
Got compression sock which helped me get through the work day.
Swelling lessened after a few days - just around ankle and foot, then subsided. Bottom of foot remains numb - ok from Dr to walk/run - ease back into normal activity - not sure of cause.
Possible muscle trauma?

Still a sense of numbness in parts of my foot. No apparent swelling.
Haven't been inclined to really push it, but have spent a lot of time in the woods prepping for the Boulder Dash.
All I can think is that it was some sort of bug bite that messed up some nerves a bit.
