Took a nasty fall while Orienteering at Sebago and banged the right side of my right thigh on a rock. The muscle is bruised and hurts pretty bad when I try to flex my quads, so it is pretty difficult to run. Also the impact of running on the leg jolts the muscle which doesn't feel too nice either. I will take at least tomorrow off and then try to see how it feels on the bike on Sunday. I don't think the bruise is too deep, so hopefully recovery will be quick.
A couple days off it did wonders. It also helped it to do as much walking as I could on it. The better it got, the more I was able to walk, and it really seemed to help keep it from stiffening up too bad which I imagine would have elongated the recovery period.
