Dec 24: Gout episode on right, top of foot. This one came fast, within 2 hours, from pain: 0/5 to 4/5, during dinner.
Started on colchicine 0.6 mg: 2 x at 10 pm,
Dec 25: Colchicine 1x at 12 am, 1x at 2 am, 1x at 4 am, 1x at 7 am, (pain 3/5) 1x at 10 am, 1x 1 pm. (pain: 2/5). upset stomach (runs) and mild headache. switched to 2x Aleve at 8 pm
Dec 26: 7 am (1/5), 1x Aleve
Dec 27: 7 am (0/5) no swelling, stomach OK, no headache
This lasted only 36 hours; result of going on the drugs early.
unknown cause: diet, stress and exercise levels OK.
Increases Allopurinol from 75 to 150 mg daily.
For next time: reduce colchicine dosage by 1/2 (too hard on stomach & headache)
