Kingston to Hampton Court
First day of a new year and lovely weather so decided to head out for the reverse of my usual run. Started well, with two runners ahead to prove a point to, setting me up nicely for a 4:15-4:30 pace.

Decided to mix it up a bit after 6km, alternating slow/fast with my faster ones at about 4:00 pace. Tiring a little by 12km, but that's 0.5km from home which was useful.

Reverse of recent runs on this route, in the cold and dark. Felt good.

Pace off for the first km as my Garmin hadn't located itself when I started.

Kingston to Hampton Court
Lovely evening for a run. I've been feeling really tired all weekend - possibly a result of over-training slightly recently; possibly because I haven't done exercise and we turned the heating on! Anyway, grabbed a 45 minute nap this afternoon and thought I ought to do something.
Set off on my staple training run a little tentatively with a slight soreness in my left lower leg and tightness in my right hamstring. Felt fine after the first km at 5:05, so upped the pace and just kept going.
Beautiful running in the dark along the north side of the Thames. Mild evening, no one about apart from the rabbits. Managed to keep the pace going on the slightly uneven path.
Last 10km run in 44'20" which is probably not far off my PB. The test will be to see how I feel tomorrow morning!
