DVOA Hickory Run Sand Spring: Night -Adv

Danny Riley

1. P D P R 1 Took the trail on the west.
2. P D P R 1 Took the main trail and turned left into it. I wanted to be cautious at night.
3. P D P R 1 Easy split.
4. P D P R 5 Pointed and prayed. Ended up hearing running water and ran towards it, reached the intersection of the trail and the stream to the NW of 4 and ran down until I could attack 4 directly east.
5. P D P R 2 Looked for the rock formation's intersection with itself as my attack point. I think I lost my clue sheet here.
6. P D P R 3 Attacked a little too early after seeing the intersection of the rock formation to the NE of 6 mistaking it as the formation to the N of 6. Quickly realized my mistake.
7. P D P R 2 Followed W of the rock formation.
8. P D P R 2 Fooled around until I got on the road to the N of 7. Took the trail, pace counted, attacked.
9. P D P R 2 Ended up getting stuck in some really thick woods. Water was everywhere, it was dark, I couldn't see 6 inches in front of me. Just ran to get out of it, found myself at the clearing to the SW of 9. Could've been a lot cleaner.
10. P D P R 1 Here's where I lost my glasses and had to go hands and knees to not find them.
11. P D P R 3 I'm blind. I can't see a couple feet in front of me. I found 11 with some good luck after reaching the intersection of the power lines to the NW of it.
12. P D P R 1 Ran along the power lines until the river that flowed into 12.
F. P D P R 1 Crawled to the finish so I was sure it was the right building. Then went back to find my glasses.
