2017 NSW Middle Championships SL3 (Badge Event): Hard 3A

1.	P	D	P	R		Good start, if slow
2.		D	P		+00:20	Good compass work, but put off by rock to my left, possibly including the one under the control circle
3.						Good, fastest
4.	P	D	P	R	+00:20	Good route but stopped too early in a faint (map) gully which was prominent on the ground
5.	P	D	P		+00:30	Not sure about the mapping in the circle here. Lots of big features, the flag was on a small one. Lost the lead to Warwick.
6.	P	D	P	R		Good, fastest
7.	P	D	P	R		Good, fastest, got the lead back.
8.	P	D	P	R	+00:30	Didn't spot the yellow access, so was on hands and knees in green
9.	P	D	P	R		Good, second to a really fast Martina, but well ahead of the field. Could possibly have got on the coal raod earlier, and was a little tentative near 9.
10.		D			+00:10	Bingo! Managed not to lose big time.
11.	P	D	P	R		Went left. Again, an outstanding time by Martina, I was second fastest. Had a 3 minute lead by this stage.
12.	P		P		+02:30	Promptly lost 2:30. Map is wrong, the cliff does not extend across the gully.
13.	P	D	P		+00:10	Overshot on the upper line of cliffs.
14.	P	D	P	R		Once again, second fastest to an outstanding time by Martina. Lead up to 1:30.
15.	P	D	P	R	+06:00	Failed to aim off properly and misread the description, turned the wrong way and searched much smaller rocks than 3.5m. Lost the lead to Cath.
16.	P	D	P	R		Good, fastest
17.						Once again, second fastest to an outstanding time by Martina.
18.						Good, fastest
F.						OK. 2nd to Martina (-11 seconds, same margin as NSW Sprint).
