Jerritt

1. very slow start, getting used to map
2.
3.
4.
5. E to trail then followed trails as much as possible before attacking
6. took trail around while other people I was with took more direct route. I think they were about equal.
7. contoured around from 6
8. mostly trail
9. long trail run with David Onkst all the way to trails S of control. Up along deer trail. I slowed down to look at the map, saw the control and he went just past it.
10. +05:00took trails ssouth to campground, then got messed up in indistict trails there. Ended up on southernmost mt bike trail by quary. Attacked from marsh east of control
11. along red line
12. north from 11 then along trail, attacked from just SW of nearby marsh
13. along red line
14. +05:00lost contact and had to re-orient. Must not have seen trail as catching feature I had not gone far enough when looking first time.
15.
16.
17. following red line, moving slow but in contact
18. Fought through green to campground. Met up with Spike. Running through mowed grass I found a tree stump and tripped on it while looking at map. Left trail near the end of eastern campground and shot straight for control. Maybe could have been faster moving through woods, but went directly to control
19. +06:00drifted off line, getting tired. ended up at # 20. Then tried to attack from there, but drifted left. Finally located larger depression between 19 and 20 and went to control
20. had already been there
21. followed red line, moving off just a bit to make sure to spot the marsh
22. moving kind of slow. followed trail down to near 23 then into control
23. rough navigation, but a lot of runners aiming for the same spot, took a achance that it was right one
24.
25. Trying to keep up with Eric B. He was moving away, then I started getting twinges in both hamstrings
F. Started cramping as I turned to the finish. Had to walk a few steps, then jog it in.
