Went to the Thomas track to try some controlled intervals. Did 6x400m with 100m walk/100m jog recovery after each. Initial goal was to keep them under 2:20 and ended up doing better than that:
2:16, 2:13, 2:13, 2:13, 2:09, 2:10
Recovery time kept increasing and so did my avg HR - from 127 on first to 149 on the last.

As I started my warm-down, I ran into Dice and Nick T, former Warrior runners that are both doing well these days!

BFLO 2024 Map Hike at Sardinia - in the heat. Went counter-clockwise on the south side to get the long road stretch out of the way first instead of last. But that meant it was uphill instead of downhill. A few failures - for one, it was a stream bend and I checked every stream bend in the circle and even some outside, but no tag visible; for another, I was standing in the mapped boulder and looked around for a while with no luck; for a third, I couldn't find the mapped boulder and was getting too tired to relocate and try again.

Despite that, it was a wonderful day in the woods.
