Surprisingly feeling much more like running this afternoon and went for a faster spin round Queenswood. Hopefully I have now recovered from last Saturday and the pain in my chest is less of an issue. It's still there, I'm just being a bit more stoical.

Kirkstall Bridge, Newlay Bridge, Butcher Hill. Steady, feeling a bit more comfortable than last night but tired by the end. Ran into an impenetrable mass of Otley Runners outside the Horseshoes.

Meanwood Wednesday sprint. I was expecting this to be mostly in the park and woods but it turned out to be mainly in the streets with only 1 control in the woods. So shorts and trainers might have been a better look than full o-kit and inov-8s. Not on my best form, not helped by going out to lunch (my works team Christmas dinner, postponed from December) and feeling a bit blubbery. Plodded around, not too slow but not very fast, found all the controls. 1st M50.

Tuesday May 17 #

meanwood and hollies. Sore knee but that eased off after a bit. Tired legs. Sore chest from falling over at Plumpton last week. It didn't bother me at all walking but it does when I'm running.
