Orroral. H2. Poor effort, lost 2:30 on the easy no. 1 really don't know what went wrong but too high. Another two minutes gone on no. 4, starting searching one spur too early. Had shin pierced by a deep thorn halfway which touched a nerve and that may not have helped. Went past 6 to get 5 which would have been OK, but got stuck in bushes getting out of 4, so no. Missed 12 by a minute, climbed past it not confident of white mapping. Lost another 45 seconds coming out of 16 - had got the right route in around the back, but should have retraced my steps instead went bush and cliffs.
Can't really afford to lose 7 minutes in simple mistakes on a longer course like this.
