keswick ac paarlauf in the woods
6 reps. have felt super flat lately and have kinda hit a wall mentally so just focused on enjoying it tonight and definitely did. felt really good running too and going pretty fast trying to keep up with a random middle aged man. so happy as majorly boosted my mood which is the main thing and also feels were good so all positive. also a lovely lovely evening so running in the sunny woods definitely gave me a lot of hope for post exams:) going to be a hard few weeks mentally but will just focus on enjoying my training and using it as as much of a mental reset as possible.

honister galoppen
do not think i had the mental energy for such a physical course today but still enjoyed parts and a lot of successful orienteering done. 1-4 entirely uphill so really not moving well and also ended up too high on the way to 1, i was a bit unsure so think i just focused on contouring and forgot to pick off features. 5-13 a lot funner and just a bit scrappy as head not really in it and running very much solo on an area which other people would’ve helped a lot. 13-14 got voided as a lot of people crossed the wall too early through the purple instead of the crossing point BUT turns out i missed the crossing point and found my own crossing point further on the wall so lost a bit of time there so very lucky it got voided. 15-19 fine just a bit tired. not really my best showing today but i can’t put too much pressure on myself over the next few weeks as my focus is really elsewhere. maybe should just focus on trying to enjoy my orienteering and use it as a nice break. training has been a bit poor this week i guess it’s fine to have a down week but i’ve got a better plan sorted for next week and hopefully i can try to switch off for british middles/northern champs so will focus on that.

easy on 50/50 grass and road
felt a bit weird this morning just super groggy and kept feeling really drained whenever i did work. probably just accumulated tiredness so good to have a nice break in the sunshine. not the best run ever quite lonely and felt long but really liked the trails down by the river so i should go down there more often

cockermouth sprint o
good stuff!! very clean nav and picking routechoices quickly, maybe took a slightly slower micro route to 12 but there was only a few seconds in it. running was good too, trying to practise pushing very hard on sprints and not going all funky like i did at JK. a good course, fun to have a blast round an area i know very well
