BOC long - DNF
A race to forget. As soon as my ankle brace went on to WU it felt uncomfortable, digging into the bottom of my foot especially when contouring. Probably hadn't adjusted it correctly to put it into Right foot mode from the usual left. So trying and failing to readjust this in the -1 box was not the most stress-free way to start the race.

Good to #1 and #2, lovely forest, felt like home. Found an extra ditch just before #3 and searched this for a bit before finding the actual one - 2:30 lost. Blundered into the green of #4 without much in terms of plan or direction and unsurprisingly lost 5min walking around. Caught by Jackland and Paul. Wobble to #8, then was sorting of okay for the next 30mins, but the foot was gradually becoming more and more painful until I had to stop to take my shoe off and readjust the brace. After 5 mins sat on my arse I no longer had any motivation to finish the race so did a few more controls to try and help Jim a bit and then jogged home.

Disappointed to DNF again on a day where there was a real medal opportunity.

Positives:
- 2nd at #2
- Fresh for tomorrow (much to Phil's disgust :D )
