Snowy z1 cruise up to Redmires along the old conduit. Enjoyed that a lot. Legs a little tired, but felt better by the end. Surprisingly little ice. Tracksters and down jacket might have been a bit much, but better to be warm than cold.

Ben Sharrock style session, around the muddy grass of Endcliffe Park. Was hoping it would be frozen, but it was just a thin sheet of ice with waterlogged grass underneath. The going was slow, but still feel I got some good quality in tough conditions. Head torch was on power saving mode just to make it more mentally straining. Good session, enjoyed it in a struggle kind of way.

With Megs. Head torch jog around Rivelin with some strides. She is running very strong which is nice to see. Dropping me on descents, but I blame my eyes not being able to see with a head torch! Strides up crosspool felt good.

Early long run out to Bradfield and back. Total opposite to yesterday's run. Felt mint and had a great run. Amazing view whilst running round the reservoirs with the icy haze over the top and rowers gliding across the water. No sound other than birds and the rowers shouting. Got back feeling good so goal achieved there and felt like I was going a nice, strong pace for a lot of it, especially in the second half.

Dark Peak club champs. Cold day with the moors all iced over, but the sky perfectly clear. Ran ok from the start to Kinder, before struggling up the climb to the plateau. Had a bubble in compass after falling over (excuse for bad nav?...), so the bearing was miles off going over the bogs. Didn't lose too much time and showed Alex a lesson for following me. Didn't feel great at all by this point and wasn't feeling motivated so decided to take it easier and have fun with it. Descended a fun line to the left of the downfall (never even saw the fast path to the right that everyone else went down), definitely lost time, but it was a fun descent. Very cold traversing Kinder in the shadow and all frozen over. Great big tussocky descent to Snake Woods then a bit of a boring drag to the finish. Not massively happy with the performance, but it's a club champs and no big deal. Still had a fun day in the hills. Also went to Yorkshire Bridge for a pint after with everyone else. £6 for a cider, what madness!!
