Easy 40 on the roads and a bit of grass down at wavertree. High heart rate and legs feeling achy but other than that not too bad and illness is definitely on the way out.

Feeling better today but still not ready to run. Just very achy and feverish. Will see how I'm doing tomorrow but hopefully I should be able to get out for a run.

Have finally succumbed to the illness that's been threatening me for a while. Annoying as the plan was to start proper training again this week but will just try and recover from this and easy run for the rest of the week then start next week instead.

North West Sprint Champs Round 1 - 4th

Stomach still in a bad way from this past week and I’m pretty sleep deprived atm so this was a bit of a shock to the system. Never really got up to any sort of decent speed at all and body kinda fell apart in the last few minutes with a lot of aches and pains and cramps. Also lots of preventable mistakes like missing alleyways and poor routechoices then ran straight into the trap right at the end. Really quite a poor performance in the end but fun to be back orienteering. Will be nice to get back into training so I can feel fit again.

North West Sprint Champs Round 2 - 2nd, 3rd overall

Certainly an improved performance from this morning but still not great. Felt a bit better physically but still pretty slow. Less mistakes than this morning although still a few routechoice errors and lost time when i decked it quite hard out of 15. Once again very much enjoyed it though and these grotty housing estates really do make for good sprint areas.
