Leckhampton hill and Wistley Hill from Cox's meadow with James and Tom
Had thought I'd do this run, then got a bit stressed with last minute plans and decided to lunch run then was indecisive and decided to do this run. Legs a bit tired after yesterday's session. Tried to put an effort and keep running on the climbs especially the diagonal ascent up Wistley hill that Nicole hated descending. Hard work!
Overall pretty good and much easier having company for the long runs. Think ultimately these runs will be really good training for me (whether O, XC or longer).

Running intervals 57:36 [4] 11.56 km (4:59 / km)
shoes: Asics GT-2000 10

Reps: 4*6mins (90s) + 4*hills (jog down) + WU/WD
Absolutely chucked it down on the drive over. Tempted to go home but kept going. A really impressive group out. Did not expect there to be so many. Honeybourne Line really wet. Puddles everywhere and some areas completely flooded.
Seemed to be doing relatively well on the 6 min reps at 10km pace (ahead of Jav, Paul and maybe ahead of John). 3:55-4:00mins/km for the reps. Hands got really cold and absolutely soaked. Not as strong/quick on the hills as the others but got it done.

Striders social run
Got soaked and really cold twice during the working day and really questioning my life decisions. Fortunately not too bad for the run. Probably a bit faster than I intended but good running with Kate and Paul

Squabb wood with Nicole, Matt and Karen
Nice to introduce them to one of my favourite old routes. The route meant a lot to me and not run it in a few years. Squabb wood still muddy and the fields after it still very wet. Water quite cold! A bit more runnable past Fishlake meadows now.
Fortunately not too tired or too niggly this week.
Ending my biggest mileage week for a long time. Hopefully another good week next week before a bit more of an easy week for our European trip. 9 days consecutively. Happy with gradually building up.
