Strength & Conditioning (Pilates ) 20:00 [1]

Laura's recording again, pre-teaching, in the gym, using Davy's ear pods. Works well but they are a bit temperamental.
Cycled over today - for once, a very pleasant day for it ie daylight, not pouring, and no need for office after = light pack

Tuesday Apr 23 #

9 PM

Running 19:32 intensity: (9:00 @1) + (10:32 @2) 2.12 km (9:13 / km)
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Got Davy to drop me off early on the way home, and the dog came with me, and she trotted okay to start, but then she seemed to decide I was taking her away from home (well, from where she was dropped off). The anchors went on, and there was carrying involved.

2 minutes on, 2 minutes off

Monday Apr 22 #

11 AM

Running 18:25 intensity: (9:25 @1) + (9:00 @2) 1.84 km (10:02 / km)
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Jog with the dog. This week is jogging 2 minutes in every 4, so I decided 1 on 1 off here.

Not very long, as I had to get back for a lunch date, but good to do a bit.

Hill Walking 6:56:31 [1] 18.92 km (22:01 / km) +209m 20:52 / km

Hooray that's the Mourne Way finished now. Stunning day for it, and warm in places, though at other times eg lunchtime I was glad of down jacket & woolly hat & flask of tea.

Was with Helen, she finished at Tollymore, perhaps horrified after I got blasé with the signposts and totally overshot the river crossing, costing about an extra mile.

Wildlife:

Red squirrel (at lunchtime, just magical)
2 jays
Song thrush singing
Many willow warblers
Many lesser-spotted fell runners doing Granite Peaks

And

the field next to Fofanny reservoir is full of baby trees, no guards, they look to be doing great

Note

Can someone please tell me, where has this week gone to??? Sunday is catch-up day, with some fun & games before then. Orienteering plus Ulster Way, I hope.
However, logistics of staying in Tollymore and (I think) no re-entry later in the evening mean that I'll need to be organised with bringing food with me. Or else I'll need to plan to be very hungry!!
6 PM

Orienteering 45:57 intensity: (34:57 @1) + (11:00 @3) 3.97 km (11:35 / km) +100m 10:17 / km
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Orienteering! After a fashion. Well-planned intermediate course, pretty much perfect top end orange spec with plenty of gallivanting options through trees. Walk 3 trot 1. Highly enjoyable
