Race two of the Why Just Run? series brings you to the beautiful Toronto Islands. Wearing our mandated personal flotation devices, we'll set out in canoes or kayaks to start looking for checkpoints along the shore. The paddling section is all within the calm and sheltered canals between the islands, so advanced paddling skills will not be required. A keen sense of adventure is totally necessary though - this is a part of Toronto most people never see! Once you've conquered the water, head back to the launch. You'll want a dry map and dry sneakers for the second half of the race, where you'll hunt down the rest of the checkpoints on foot.
Route choice will play an important factor in this race, so you'll need quick wits, as well as quick feet to reach the podium.
Registration deadline for this event is Friday August 5 at midnight.
