Flat, semi-open (wet and dry) heathland with deciduous woodland and WWII airfield remains means fast orienteering with some interesting features. Most but not all of the bracken and bramble is now flattened. Recent drainage works have altered the northern section, leaving much (drier) runnable and remarkable attractive and scenic terrain.
