The 2019 Nav-X Challenge's 1st event brings us to a wild place in the middle of the bay area in the Berkeley Hills. Wildcat Canyon and the adjacent Tilden Park is a pretty large area with grassy hills, lots of trails, and varied vegetation such as oaks and eucalyptus groves. Using two maps specifically designed for navigation sports, course setter Vicki Woolworth will be treating us to a Map Adventure sure to please any navigation sports enthusiast, whether you are looking for a scenic 2 hr hike in the green hills, or a 4 hr endurance race against some of the best in the West.
