Each year our course team for The Cape to Cape MTB aim to make the four stages around a total of 220km in length, with the various stages ranging from 40-70km.

While the course is designed to challenge the top elite riders, the course is really set to suit riders of all levels of mountain biking ability. Whether you are picking up a mountain bike for the first time or have raced all over the world, we are confident our course will put a smile on your face!

Is it all just riding along fire roads? No way! We love singletrack, so the course is designed to link up the best mountain biking trails in the Margaret River Region. But with 220km to cover this means we use a mixture of fire trails, tarmac, farmland, forest trails and even a bit of beach to get you to the awesome trails in Boranup, Margaret River, Middle Earth and Meelup.

Each year we tweak the course alignment to make it better than the year before and we also want to take the course past as many breathtaking views as possible. So you can expect to find yourself riding through forests, along the coastline, past wildflowers and through vineyards along the way.

Over the four stages of the event the course takes in a huge variety of terrain, with each stage having its own distinct personality…
