"Orienteering for Runners, Hikers and Walkers"

Orienteering is activity that exercises the mind and body at the same time. Participants learn to focus on reading a map while moving through the terrain. It is often termed the "Thinking Sport". It can be done at any speed and be enjoyed by people of any age and athletic ability level.
In the workshop people will learn the basics of orienteering in the classroom at Fleet Feet and then venture out into Cobbs Hill to try some of the skills in the field. Participants should dress for the weather and wear comfortable running, walking or hiking shoes. The course will be taught by experienced members of the Rochester Orienteering Club.
