The Hamilton (aka the Hammer) region has a rich long distance running history as the home of North America's oldest road running race and the hometown of many past winners of the Boston marathon and Canadian Olympian runners. The Raid the Hammer Adventure Run builds on this running history by combining road running, trail running, navigation, and trekking together into Ontario's gnarliest running race.
