A 4, 7 & 10 hour Navigation Race (rogaine) near Sprague, WA, USA on April 14, also featuring a Training Day on April 13.

This nearly treeless terrain will refine your contour reading skills while stately basalt cliffs lure the camera out of your pocket.

In previous years, this event has been staged at Escure Ranch. This year, we will be nearby in similar terrain, but on private land with improved accessibility, just minutes from I-90. Motel and camping options are just minutes away in Sprague.

Just as last year, we are offering an optional training day on Saturday, followed by the 10-Hour, 7-Hour, and 4-Hour races on Sunday. Even among experienced navigators, many have found that the training day serves not only as a good nav skill building session, but also as an excellent warm up for using the USGS map. Training events will include compass and distance estimation, map contact/relocation, and precision map reading.
