There are two urban races taking place during ShAFF. They are very simple to enter, designed to be maximum fun and will give you the opportunity to see the sights of Sheffield between films! The winners will be the person (or persons) with the highest score who finishes within the allocated time.

You can start either race at anytime by collecting your map from the planetFear stand in the Brands Showcase area and registering your details. Both races use a specially commissioned map of the city centre with controls or check-points that you have to visit. Each control is worth points, the further you venture away from the Showroom Cinema, the more points the controls are worth BUT you must return within the allocated time or you will lose 1 point for every part minute you are late back!

We’ll give a £50 planetFear shop (on John Street next to The Edge climbing Centre) voucher to the highest scoring male and female on the Heroes race and a £25 voucher to the highest scoring male and female on the Challenge race. For the Challenge race we’ll also give prizes for highest scoring under scoring under 18, under 16, over 50 (both male and female for all these categories) and family!
