The full A3 map will span both sides of the River Thames. To the North there are areas of common land, playing fields and the older parts of Eton. The River Thames will be crossed using the main Windsor Bridge, now only used by pedestrians. To the South, there is the main central area of Windsor town centre which will take competitors to the walls of Windsor Castle. Typical urban terrain can be anticipated including pedestrian areas, residential streets and a variety of parks.
