Blackbutt, QLD, AU
Aug 4–5, 2012
Next entry deadline: Jul 15, 2012
Type: Orienteering - National
added by: Dmitry_oz
Day 1: Taromeo - A rolling cattle property with granite terrain- varying from scattered boulders in lightly-timbered paddocks, to massive boulder clusters in an open paddock to a range of rock features on a more-thickly timbered slope. Courses will loop past the historic homestead yards to add to spectator interest.
Day 2: Teelah - The destinctive feature on this map will be tempo changes, sections of slow-run gullied forest being separated by transitional stretches of open paddock. Significant route choice will be offered in transition on longer courses. Expect control sites with some elusive gullies, erosion scars and watercourse features in lower-visibility areas offering the challenge (or frustration ) on red courses.
