Garingal Orienteers and Western and HIlls Orienteers invite you to TWO State League Orienteering events in the Sydney Basin. This is a once in a decade opportunity for Sydney based-orienteers to experience State League orienteering "on their doorstep". It is also a chance for non-Sydney orienteers to sample some Sydney sandstone and to catch up with friends, family and places in Sydney that you have been meaning to visit for years.

The first event is on Saturday afternoon of 14 July 2012 and will be a sprint format at the University of Western Sydney's campus at Richmond. This race is being organised by Western and Hills Orienteers and further details of the Saturday event can be found on the State League 8 website.

On the Sunday morning of 15 July 2012, we will move into the bush at Mitchell Park. This area has just been re-mapped by Dave Lotty, who assures us that the rock detail is now perfect. Come and experience this fabulous sandstone terrain on the best bush map in the Sydney basin just 1 hours drive from the CBD.

There will be courses on offer for orienteers of all standards. Newcomers to bush orienteering are very welcome to attend as there will be a variety of courses available to suite orienteers from 8 to 80+ and of all navigation abilities.
