Discussion: Garmin download problem

I'm having difficulty downloading from my garmin 305 to AP. The download gets to 90% then stops. I have tried using my mac as well as the pc and tried downloading to garmin training center but the same thing happens when I try to upload the gpx file. Any advice?

I don't upload directly, but Training Center frequently hangs up just before completing if I have not recently cleared history. Mr AP mentions this as a fix here.

Yeah, that was going to be my first suggestion. If it is the case that you can get a GPX file out of training center, but then AP hangs when you try to upload the file, send it to me and I will take a look.

I used to have this problem all the time until I started clearing out the history on my 305 after every few runs. All the data from your runs are stored on AP so if you need to get them at a later date you can get the data from here.

I had a problem a long time ago on my 305 where I had to clear out the history, but I've never had to since. Admittedly, I don't log as much as some people, but I would have thought it would be full by now. I know it's not the full track, just a summary, so maybe I'm still filling it up.
