If you're thinking of coming to the EMPO local event at Five Rivers EEC in Delmar NY on May 4, please pre-register and pre-pay. NY state DEC regulations prevent us from collecting map payment on site. We appreciate your cooperation.

Event director fpb is presenting a 90-minute limit Time-O, the score O variation that has specified controls available only during prescribed time periods. Try it out!

Registration is available on Event Register here:

I may compete in the preschooler team category. May involve stopping to look at geese and throw things in the ponds.

I bet the Time O would work great for that. :-)

I've intentionally stayed away from setting any controls near potential goose nesting areas.

Also known as the O-$#!?

Also, a practical question - I remember being a bit confused last time at 5 Rivers by the park boundaries - there was one particular leg where the most direct route choice would have taken me outside the park boundary but not specifically into areas marked as off-limits on the map. Is that OK or a no-no, if similar choices present themselves this time? (FWIW I stayed inside the boundaries last time, and then for good measure forgot to visit a control after all of that running.)

I'm pretty sure that won't come into play this time, but we'll address it in the meet notes.

Good to hear, thanks Frank.

Janet, to put this thread back on track - the preregistration worked like a charm for me.

'twas really, really easy to set up. After the first four registrations, I had enough in the Paypal account to pay OUSA without having to write and mail a check. :-)
