Is there anyone who would be willing to send me specific instructions and answer specific questions as they come up on how to bring an aerial photos and/or topos into OCAD to the right scale and resolution, step by step, etc to create and use a base map? I would be willing to discuss 'tuition' of some sort.

I use Autocad for a living but very old version, dont know all the bells and whistles, never have used OCAD but imagine its similar. Have a broadband cable connection, a recent version of Photoshop but not much knowledge of much of it, and thats how it is w/ everything. Thx.

I've tried to log in to that group a couple of times, but nothing happens.

Subscribe here:
O-map-subscribe @ yahoogroups.com

to join the group. Then you should be able to post messages and get responses. You need to have a Yahoo ID, however, in order to look at any files stored there, as well as the archived messages.

Many of the questions you're asking are probably answered in the archives.

When I go to the site it says 'Your membership is awaiting approval by the group owner' Does that mean I should wait or should I still e-mail the adress you gave? Thx!

The list moderator is Andy Hill. YahooGroups doesn't show his complete email address, but this should get to him: "o-map-owner@yahoogroups.com" (so that you can politely nudge him to approve your subscription...).

Thanks very much. There is an excellent, resourceful and normally very accomodating person here in town, but unfortunately he is just extremely busy, at the same time that I am hitting the 'horse latitudes'. I'll jump off the deep end, the worst that could happen is that my computer KO's or something. Ok, that would be pretty bad:)
