Cleman Mountain (Naches, Washington) is a great venue and former host to the North American Rogaining Championships.
Right now, we plan to host 4 & 8-hour.
Should we add a 24-hour?
Would YOU come to a 24-hour?

tRicky: what's wrong with you?
I am injured otherwise I'd totally be there and I'd also go to the other two 24hr events that Rebecca has posted about at the same venue on the same day.
Hey, it was crickets over there in the Events column, so I got all Marketing Manager and re-phrased it for a better hook. Then I increased distribution and brought the question over here. :)
Also, it would be useful if people actually told us "no" or "probably not" or whatever, to give us a more accurate gauge of the interest.
Does it matter if 100% of your feedback is "yes" if none of the "no" people bothered to speak up for fear of being rude?
Nachev in Naches. Probably yes.
I'm probably not, maybe a 20%.
I'll know more after WRC WA vs WA in August whether I want to do another one in September. In years past, I've only done one 24h a year, and this year I'll be doing two (also the one in Kamloops in June). Plus I don't know if my teammate would be up for a third.
Since I'm within an easy drive of Naches, there's a very good chance I'll attend the event, regardless of maximum time limit. I missed the event here two years ago, so I'd like to come out and see it.
For those people who will have to travel from further away, it's worth noting that if you offer a 24h, that will make three of them in the western US in the span of seven weekends (August 16th in SD, September 6th in CA, September 27th in WA).
I'll totally try to be there.. I was just running nearby in the Yakima canyon. But I'd probably limit myself to a 4 or 8 hour race. I like sleep too much.
All that matters is the yes answers. There are over seven billion people for whom the answer is no, but they are irrelevant.
You can't assume all North American rogainers are on Attackpoint, either.
When did the world get so big and why aren't they all orienteering?
The last question is a great question, but most orienteers are concerned with other matters of great importance.
Thank you to those that gave productive input, it is appreciated.
I take it there are no thanks for tRicky ?
So on behalf of the better WA thank you to allthose that gave unproductive input.
I was wondering the same myself. Thanks for the acknowledgement :-)
My usual teammate already has a speaking engagement that weekend that she agreed to a few months ago, so unfortunately we won't be there. Conceivable that I might go with a different partner.
Tell her she can rogaine and speak at the same time. It helps break up the tedium.
Unless it's with our good friend (from our WA) who we'd much rather would be a little less verbose when he is goraining.
buzzards like to follow Ultra Vets around, hmmmm. Perhaps a team of the old buzzard and an eldersmith would be ecologically friendly and even enlightening in talking about physics while walking through the wilderness.
Interested?
