"Some parts of the UK enjoy warmest day of the year so far ...
Forecasters say the sunny weather is not set to last, as a band of cloud moving down from Scotland overnight will give way to a cooler start on Monday."
Can't see anything wrong with that; you were simply in the wrong place, mate. The temperature obtained from the SportTracks weather server for my run at Bentley Woods was 20 C. Despite the 1.8km hike from car park to start / finish, I didn't see many people making use of the clothing dump. (Presumably because 'full body cover' was required.)

Its the usual BBC/media Sarf-east bias. Hot in London = hot in the UK.

@RogerT
band of cloud moving down from Scotland
That's enough commentary on my attackpoint log.

you were simply in the wrong place, mate.
If so, I'll blame the BigJon map :)

It's a bit harsh to blame the mapper when the fault was clearly the planner's, for hanging the controls about 300 miles too far north.

Well, the band of cloud moving away didn't give way to a cooler start. Not sure how that was ever meant to work, but it was glorious in Edinburgh today.
