I must credit Bob Boltz of North East Ohio Orienteering Club for coming up with this comment: "you have found the tracks of a giant wild turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!"

I was chased by a wild turkey once while training on my own. I wasn't sure if it was just bluffing, but decided not to find out.

And if it wasn't, you were afraid that it would do... what? Chop your head off, take you home, stuff you and roast you? A turkey doesn't seem particularly scary to me, and seems like it would be vulnerable to a solid kick if it came to that.
