Attention all dog lovers/owners coming to the 2013 Orienteering Fall Festival at French Creek State Park/Hay Creek Watershed:

We want you to know, we love dogs and want to keep them safe as well as our participants. French Creek State Park is not a private park and requires all dogs to be on leashes. We are not the only people allowed at French Creek so there is potentially other families/hikers with dogs. Sunday the property for parking is at a High School and there are other activities scheduled there that date so we do no want the dogs off leash and running freely in any open field areas and parking lots.

At the Event Sites we would appreciate it if all dogs were kept on their leash and kept reasonably away from Start, Finish, The Food Tent, Download and the Junior Area. Also, for the safety of the dogs, please have them clear of bus pick up/drop off on Sunday. Please realize, if there is any dogs approaching your dog we would prefer the altercation to be where it's least congested.

At Wine Tasting and Dinner, we would appreciate it if the dogs remained safe in your vehicle.

Also, OUSA has made it a rule that no dogs are allowed on the Courses at an A Event. We will be standing by that rule for the weekend as well.

We cannot allow any dogs to ride on the Buses on Sunday.

In closing, we would appreciate you not to leave a trace and use a doggy bag when appropriate and dispose of same in a proper trash container.
