This was a handicapped race where TPKs of entrants were taken from meets on similar terrain and used to set start times so that the everybody should finish at the same time. The first one back was the winner. The bare naked name comes from the Barebones concept, but even more pared down. The Barebones has become what it was instituted to avoid.

It should be mentioned that AP designed the course & hung the controls, while RG had controlled the course design & vetted. Actual winner (first across the line) out of 12 competitors was Grog, who ran 16 min. faster than would have been expected from his average TPK from 4 days of sandhills meets this year.
