Quite a crowd showed up. photos.

This is the second time that Western Pennsylvania Orienteering Club used Frick Park, a large and sometimes wild park, with steep hillsides and forests. It's proximity to the densely-populated East End neighbohoods, adjacent to the universities like Carnegie Mellon and others, brought out to the meet many newbies and families. A Eastern Pennsylvania area member residing in Delaware drove all the way just for the opportunity of doing the Bike-O, and a club jersey from the Washington DC area was spotted as well. Many racers from Grass Roots Racing, a local adventure racing community, showed up, making it feel like a post-season social reunion.

From now on, we should always have the Frick Park orienteering on either the last week of October or the first week of November, and have posters, fliers, T-shirts on this theme
