Wow, did anybody take a look at the splits in the Womens B Heat? Sime won every single leg except for 4, and on 2 of those 4 she was 2nd. Her worst leg was the finish split in which she was 7th, but that doesn't really count because you know she wasn't pushing hard in the chute in the qualifiers.

So far she has won her first two races. Maybe a repeat of WOC 2003?

My run was disappointing. Despite my best efforts to come to the start line ready to race, my legs felt quite tired and slow from the beginning, and although I drank a lot, it seemed to be sitting in my stomach rather than absorbing. I started feeling better about 60-70 percent of the way through. On the positive side, I pushed hard and never gave up, and I was mentally prepared for the challenges of the steep terrain.

A few long qual photos are posted here now, including big, bad Brent, and Holger with water bottle and neck towel.

Big Bad Brent goes for the 80s look with the sweat-bands, a nice touch.
