I've heard a few comments that some of the usual O' activities may be restricted or not allowed at all by the park. Does anyone know what the actual situation is?

I heard from Pete Bundschuh on Saturday that he expected the WHNO to be a go, though I have no further information.

If WHNO is a go, then presumably vampire-O is still on? Got a crowd of scouts really looking forward to that..

There was also rumor of a sprint relay - any confirmation Ian?

Is MTBO on the schedule?

Update from Camping Weekend organizers:

- Pete says that he expects the WHNO and Vampire-O to both be a go.

- There will be a sprint relay on Saturday! Details: there will be a mass start at 2:30 PM. Entry is $8 per person, $5 for juniors, and proceeds will go to the US Team. The relay will consist of teams of two, and each team member will run two legs. The total length of the relay is about 7.5 km, or two 1.5 - 2 km legs per person. The map scale will be 1:5000, and the course difficulty is approximately orange. I asked the classic course designer to make the Saturday courses a little easier, but he just laughed.

In summary, the events are:
Saturday: Classic; Sprint Relay at 2:30 pm; Night activities at 9ish.
Sunday: Classic
Any time: Canoe

If you are planning on participating in the sprint relay, please send an e-mail to me or post in my log. Advance notice is not required, but it is helpful to me and Ed so we have a rough guess for how many maps to bring.

I can't attend, so excuse my impertinence...

It seems as if the O' activities are largely unconstrained? Have accomodations been made by the organizers? In response to what? Or were the restrictions just a rumor?

Any access limitations at Pawtuckaway would be a concern to many of our ilk.

I think it's clear that there was something wrong with attackpoint that led to my timestamp being incorrect. I will report this to ken.

For the sprint relay, everyone will run one A course, and one B course, for a total length for each person of 3.5-4.0km.
