Hi, has anybody experience with using ankle support Active ankle T2? I have huge problems with my ankle and this solution seems to be the best for me...but i checked it out at some web shops and dont know what size should i buy?? My shoes are usually 41,5 - 42 sized (depends on..) and it is on the level between S-size and M-size...Can anybody write me experience with that problem?? Thanks!

I have an Active Ankle T1, and I've been really happy with it. I turned my ankle badly a couple of times last year, and needed to do long adventure races shortly afterward. With the brace, I could do everything. I wear a size 41 shoe, and my Active Ankle is size Small, and it doesn't seem particularly tight.

According to the Active Ankle website, the T2 model is "sleeker" and uses thinner, lighter weight padding. There is also an adjustable single strap for different heights of shoes. That would undoubtedly be useful. With the T1, a couple of us moved the lower strap higher to prevent blisters being formed between the strap and the shoe.

While wearing most of my shoes, I don't even know the Active Ankle is there, but there is one pair that makes the brace rub my foot, causing blisters. I could probably play with insoles or tape the affected area to prevent this, but I usually just use different shoes if I'll be in terrain where I still want the brace. (It sure takes an amazingly LONG time to recover completely.)

Heaps of orienteers over here in Western Australia use them. I think they're fantastic. after a couple of seasons of heavy wear, they will often break around the hinge, but the plastic bit has a lifetime warranty so I've always gotten free replacements. Never needed to replace any of the padding.

I'm a US 12 in most shoes (is that about a 46) so I guess I'm nearing the border of the M-L border. I use the mediums and wouldn't want anything bigger, but I've got pretty skinny ankles. I suspect you could happily get away with either.

They're very comfortable and very effective.
