Discussion: We were doing the same thing...

kind of. Patty and I were at Goulds Run vetting Petr's courses for August. We couldnt find the first marker, partially because neither of us wanted to stick around that area too much longer. The cicadas were crawling (and flying) everywhere, and landing on us. It was like a creepy horror movie. Their noise was incredibly loud too. Thankfully they were not like that over the entire area.
We planned for 3 hours but ended up spending 4.5 and not getting nearly what we wanted done. I have high praises for anyone who does course design (or making maps). It must take an incredible amount of time to cover all the area and check routes and alternate routes. It seems so overwhelming to think through all those things... so thanks, for all you do. We appreciate it.
