Don't. I was the only one on the course, but if you saw the map you might understand why: planned at 1:7500 and then shrunk to 1:10000 so the purple print was thinner. Couple it with overlapping almost parallel legs and broken lines and I just ran straight past it.
These things tend to come in pairs. Paul Nixon and I both suffered the same problem about two years ago. It'll resolve itself. I think I dropped back to blue for a race or two to restore my confidence last time. Sounds extreme, but it worked.
