Not to toot my own horn but I think a novice reporter who had never heard of orienteering did a pretty good job of putting together a good video story
here
Good job on the maps, and on getting some media coverage.
now , i want to orienteer in Florida.. nice
Kevin,
The world should know how much help you gave to making the mapping projects do-able. Thank you very much. I know there is a century old saying that goes something llike this "teach a man to download LiDAR files and he'll make maps forever...." Anyway until this slow learner masters that skill I'm very grateful that you offered your services for those two projects.
Nick, whether its Ottawa or Florida you are welcome.
Was in Venice for his meet there in January, definitely not West Point terrain but a fun map. Great to have someone "putting his map where his mouth is" and making maps where there are none and getting people involved.
A totally different experience today. Really fun and really challenging to try completely different type O. Thanks, Gord. Good time.
