Just wondering, hows the snow cover in at the meet site?
Looking online I keep seeing about a foot or so left there...

The snow cover will also affect a few of the 40 'Hood Hunt checkpoints, as some of the items to look for (plaques and such) are on the ground...

I haven't set foot on the course since December, but everything *should* still be there, it just might require a little digging, haha.

Starting Thursday, highs of 50, 59, 55, 52 predicted with rain moving in Sunday.
Of course, seems like Hood Hunt area could have some nice mounds of snow still.

Of the 40 'HH checkpoints, #7, #13, #19, #21, #26, #29, and #31 are definitely on the ground.

#29 and #31 are popular pedestrian areas, so I expect they'll be accessible. #7, #13, and #26 are plaques at the bases of sculptures, and away from sidewalks, so they may require a little bit of digging. #19 is along a residential sidewalk, and it's may be the hardest to find, so that one may be tricky. #21 is in someone's yard, near the porch, so if the entire roof's worth of snow fell in a pile in front of the house, this one might not be visible at all.

Andrew: there is only a few inches of mushy snow left, as of this morning. As Rick mentioned, we're expecting warm temps this week. I expect the snow will all be melted by Saturday.

I ran on the competition area on Sunday and the snow was deep in places, making running up the hills difficult. Since then, we've had temperatures above freezing and the snow is melting. We're expecting above freezing for the rest of the week, so the snow should keep melting.

You can go to KC Scout and see some traffic cameras near the park that will give you an idea of the current snow cover.

I hope there is still some snow left this weekend. It would be fun to run through a snow bank or two.
